He was born in Barcelona in 1963. He made his debut as orchestra director in 1990 in Spanish Pamplona Gayarre Theatre. He was Managing Director of Pamplona´s Pablo Sarasate Orchestra in 1994/95. His early work as corepetiteur in Liceu Theatre in Barcelona and Zarzuela Theatre in Madrid led him to become one of the most outstanding experts in lyrical theatre in Spain. He has directed more than 50 operas, around 20 zarzuela (Spanish operetta) and Berstein´s West Side Story musical. For this work he was nominated to Theatre Max prizes in 1997.
He is member of the French Music Reference and Support in France due to his work in favour of promoting French music in Compiègne Music Theatre.
He has directed such opera outstanding singers as Montserrat Caballé, José Carreras, Jaume Aragall and Carlos Alvarez, both in concerts and recordings.
He is having great success as a composer, he was the director of his own opera “La casa de Bernarda Alba” in Romanian Brasov Opera Theatre. It was also played in August 2009 in Santander International Festival and Castell de Perelada. In 2010 he played for the first time his ballet “Bestiario”, commissioned by Madrid´s Teatro Real.

DAVID MASON International vocal coach and pianist He was born in Wigan, England. He studied in the Royal Northern College of Music. He won the Stephen Arlen Bursary, which allowed him to conduct research on bel canto historical treaties. He has been corepetiteur in Aldeburgh´s Britten Pears School, where he worked with Sir Peter Pears, Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Hans Hotter, Galina Vishnevskaya and Pierre Berna. He is one of London´s most respected masters. His students have won prizes in international competitions (Viñas in Barcelona, The Hague, Salzburg) and have performed in important opera theatres around the world (Covent Garden, Glyndebourne, Scottish Opera, Barcelona, Melbourne, Sydney, Metropolitan NY). Being an expert in ancient music, he has carried out pedagogical work with groups such as The Tallis Scholars, Taverner Consort, Monteverdi Choirs. He worked in London´s Music Trinity Collage, as a vocal consultant for Dutch Radio Chorus in Hilversum and German Radio Chorus in Berlin. At present he lives in Madrid, working as a vocal coach for Balearic Islands´University Choir and Alonso Lobo´s Chorus in Cuenca. He works also regularly with Ancient Music Academy in the University of Salamanca. He directed Judith Weir´s “Cid´s Mass” recording, voted as the year´s best CD both by the BBC and the Sunday Times. He wrote the article “Voice” for the New Oxford Companion to Music, the “Singing Voice” guide for Channel 4 TV and the section on vocal pedagogy on Cambridge Companion to Singing. Recently he made his contribution to the 19th century chapter on singing in the Performers´ Guide published by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. He writes a column on vocal coaching in the Britsh magazine “The Singer”.
FRANCESCA ROIG Mezzosoprano and Vocal Professor
She was born in Barcelona, where she studied music and singing with masters Gino Becchi, Paul Schillavsky and Meter Harrison. She made her debut in Barcelona´s Liceu Opera Theatre. She performed in Traviata, Rigoletto and Les Contes d´Hoffmann. She later sang regularly in the operas Elektra, Dame de Piques, M. Butterfly, La Fiamma, die Frau ohne Schatten, Sly… She made her debut in 1988 in Madrid´s Zarzuela Thetre in Rossini´s Ermione, with Montserrat Caballé. She sang further in Lucia di Lammermoor, with M. Devia, Ramon Vargas, Traviata with Francisco Araiza, Suor Angelica with R. Kavaiwanska… She has sung both lied and oratory, she performed in Passion according to SaintMatthew in Santander´s Festival Palace and Rossini´s Stabat Mater in Bilbao´s Arriaga Theatre with soprano Elisabete Matos. She sang in Music Festivals as Perelada (Traviata and Gianni Schicchi) and Edinburgh (La Verbena de la Paloma). She has been directed by great orchestra directors such as Alberto Zedda, Marco Armiliato, Miquel Ortega and Peter Schneider and by great stage directors such as Hugo de Ana, Calixte Bieito, Mario Gas, Nuria Espert, Emilio Sagi, Lluis Pasqual, Hans Hollman and Andreas Homoki. Since 1997 she is working as interpreting and singing professor. She offers master-classes in Spain –Barcelona, Madrid, Seville-, Italy –Roma, Reggio-Calabria) and France (Nantes). She is often invited as jury member in important competitions in Spain and Italy.
ANNA BELÉN GÓMEZ Soprano and Vocal Professor She was born in Sabadell, Barcelona. She started studying music at 7 in Sabadell´s Conservatoire. She was a singing student with MATHY PINKAS and FRANCESCA ROIG. She holds a B.A. in Music Education awarded by Barcelona´s Autonoma University. She has taken part in master classes with Montserrat Caballé, Victòria dels Àngels, Bonaldo Giaiotti, Jaume Aragall and Giancarlo del Monaco (scene interpretation). She has performed as a soloist in Spain, France, Italy and Bulgaria. She took active part in the campaign “We will all rebuild Liceu”. She has also made recordings for Nota a Nota Records company. She has taken part in several singing festivals, such as 35th Sofia Music Weeks International Festival, First Morera festival, 7th Guillem de Berguedà Music Festival and Ribermusica Autumn Festival, Winner of the 4th Mirna Lacambra Competition (making her debut as Musetta in Puccini´s Bohème and winner of the 3rd Competition of Istituto Europeo in Firenze (debut as Euridice in Gluck´s ORFEO ED EURIDICE). Finalist in several competitions: Smetana Diakovitch (sofia), Spanish Music Youth (Toledo), Mario del Monaco (Marsala) and 12nd Marathon of New Voices (Barcelona). She has performed inOrfeo ed Euridice, Nozze di Figaro, La Boheme, Suor Angélica, Le Villi, Gianni Schicchi, Il Tabarro, Nabucco, Aida, Macbeth, La Traviata, Trovatore, Norma, Hansel & Gretel, La calesera, La del Soto del Parral, La leyenda del Beso and Cançó d'Amor i Guerra. Apart from her professional career as a soprano, she works as vocal professor in Igualada´s Conservatoire and in Sant Cugat International Summer Course. She is also a jury in Premia de Mar (Barcelona) Singing Competition.
She was born in Madrid. She got her International Baccaulerate in Munich International School. Later she got a Diploma cum laude in Milano Nice Arts academy, where she specialized with Margherita Palli scenography and theatre clothing. She started working in Munich´s Bayerischer Rundfunk and Bayerischer Staatsoper. She was the assistant of Luciano Damiani and Giorgio Strehler in Milano´s Piccolo Teatro. As scenographist she works in Doctor Faustus (Marlowe), Nostoi (Fernández), L’armadio dell’opera buffa, Cassandra Express (Fernandez), Lo Schiavo liberato ( Stradella,), Così fan tutte (W.A.Mozart La vita facile (Fernandez-Merini), Verdi: il tempo, lo spazio, ieri, oggi, come perché, Bastiano e Bastiana (W.A.Mozart), Falstaff (G.Verdi), Don Giovanni (W.A.Mozart), Manuela y Bolívar (D.Luzuriaga). As scene director and set designer a she starts her career in Rovigo, Teatro Sociale with Der Jasager and continues with Trovatore, Rigoletto, Traviata, Falstaff, La Figlia du Regiment, La Verbena de la Paloma, La Boheme, Amica. Händel 2.0 (M.E.Mexia-A.de Diego) and OlimPóPera(M.E. Mexia) in well-known theatres: Teatro S. Lorenzo alle Colonne, Casa di Riposo per i Musicisti, Teatro Sociale di Brescia, Villa Carmignani di Livorno, Teatro Sociale di Rovigo, Teatro Marchetti y Fano and Teatro della Fortuna de Camerino, Teatro Verdi di Busseto, Teatro Variedades de Quito, Festival de ópera Calvià, Teatro Sucre de Quito ) She has been an editor of DVD´s and videos commissioned by Parma´s Teatro Regio for Verdi Centennial, Video-homage to flute player Gazzelloni (Udine/Rai). She was also commissioned for an official DVD on Scala´s history, reconstruction and refurbishing, for Rovigo´s theatre on its history, and also for Parma´s Teatro Regio for the exhibition Renata Tebaldi, profonda ed infinita. She also prepared the DVD Coincidenze invisibili,for Marisa Chiodo´s photo exhibition in Milano´s Galleria Grazia Neri.
